Rosie's husband

I'm very glad that you "felt your boobies" in time!

I guess that's something else we have in common...

Kim

They feel just fine, thank you Rosie. A year already. Congratulations. I hope you have something fabulous organised to celebrate. Your challenge blocks look wonderful.
Good luck with the weight reduction. I found it really great to cut out dairy, wheat and sugar. Good, long health can be very motivating. I am a vegan, and it has been a process that has taken me about 15 years. The funny thing is, I was anaemic for about 18 years. Now I am a full vegan, my iron levels are fabulous, and I don't take iron tablets. Hmmm, interesting isn't it.
Remember to drink lots of water, walk everywhere and reward yourself regularly. I think your stash might be about to gain, maybe a metre of fabric for every week you lose.
Now there's a challenge. How big will your stash grow?
Hugs x x x

Good luck with the diet Rosie - I have been saying "today is diet day" every other day for the last couple of months but I do really intend tomorrow (as in Tuesday 8th May not like the tomorrow that never comes!!!) to start a proper diet and stop drinking wine - because it stops me sewing in the evenings!!! I have a good incentive as my parents are taking Jonathan, me and the three children (and Isla's teddy!) to Italy in August for our first holiday abroad in 9 years - wow!
So good luck to you and good luck to me too!! Lucy

P.S I think I will post some of the photos on my blog that the children and I did a while ago for the "Dolls Story" they were going to write - most of the stars are your designs - thank you!! Lucy

Diana

Hi Rosie!!!remember you have to drink green tea and a lot of vegetables to eat ...have a good time and your scrappy cabin quilt is wonderful!!!!thanks for all!!

Christine

Gorgeous log cabin squares, I may have to have a go.

Hope the mammogram goes ok and good luck with the diet. I am taking part in a sponsored walk later this month in aid of breast cancer and I feel my boobies regularly :)

kerry

Well done, 12 months down the track, great advise to all of us, it's something I hate doing but I know how important is it.
Your blocks look fantastic, I won't send you a photo of my 5 and a bit, better make sure I make some time to sew up some more soon. Love Lisa's bag!!!!
Don't stress too much about the diet, at least you are here to enjoy life.
Chat to you soon

One year - wow! What a year! I am very glad that you felt your boobies! Weight loss. Hhhhmmmm. Do I feel a lot of walking coming on? Someone really needs to come up with a way to exercise and stitch! Rosie?

Lexi

nicolette

Hi Rosie, I hope everything will keep on going well for you and congratulations on your 1 year! I’m planning to call for a mammogram this week. 1,5 Year ago I needed surgery on my right ‘boobie’. After an anxious time of waiting for the results I was told everything was OK. I have never felt so HAPPY! Dieting, well.. I started last October with exercising 3 to 4 times a week, drinking lots of water, eating 6 times a day, lots of vegetables, lettuce and stuf with the whole grains in it, no sugar, no pork and I lost 12 kg in 4 months. A little advice: take little steps at a time, that keeps up ones courage! Good luck!

melinda

Hmmm....a year already, no really???, lets go girl!....I'm ready to get back on the wagon. Let me know if those steps start a calling our names again lol. Take care of you....xxx

Marianne

what sound advice! I can feel the urge to feel mine as I type but I'd better wait til I'm somewhere private or Barry might get the wrong idea! I love love love those log cabin squares and have saved the tutorial, I have started putting very small scraps in a separate bag, I've got the fine interfacing now I just need some time!

Tink

A year is such a wonderful milestone. Good luck with the diet. Thank you for the reminder. Everyone needs to hear it and I think it is even more heartfelt coming from you.

Just have to say that I find that very first comment to be the sweetest and silliest (unless I'm just in the gutter on the second half ;o)) comment of all time. Hubby seems like a keeper for sure!

Oh and PS...no worries, my boobies get lots of action. ;o)

Lucy Locket

Hi Rosie and Melly - I have posted the doll pictures I mentioned earlier on my blog and linked back to you here. Keep up the good work both of you - you are truly talented and full of fun! love Lucy

Mirre

Your scrap blocks look absolutely delicious!! I still love the whole idea and really want to join in... just need to find some time ;)

Sue

I think it is a very good point for you to tell everyone to check them. You never know if you will get breast cancer or not, so trying to be aware is always a good thing. I should join you on your diet as I need to lose at least 20kgs. I am now heavier than when I was pregnant with both of kids, which I find very disappointing. I love the scrap bag too, very nice and a great way to use up the squares too.

rachelmp

Cogratulations Rosie! My diet tip is drink too much coffee and fidget a lot lol - but it works for me. Seriously, just enjoy the happiness in each day.

Beth

Best of luck with your weight loss goals (even though I think you are beautiful just the way you are). I know it is important for health, and I am glad you are being proactive. You are so inspiring!!!!

Hi Rosie,

There must be something in the air! A couple of the girls at Magazine land have decided to loose some kilos. We have called it 'being nice to ourselves'. We plan to take turns making lunch and we'll go for walks to the park. I guess we just want to be kinder to our bodies.
Good luck, we'll be thinking of you!

Ramona

Hi Rosie,
If you need walking partner, I'll do flat-ish ground with you.
ONE year!!! Wow, time flies.
And you've climbed lots of mountains in that time. You'll do great.
Hugs Ramona

Hi Rosie - thanks again for the amazing inspiration - I want to make these scrappy cabins but my quilts are always made from such different ranges that they would clash. Can you convince someone somewhere to kit them in the fabrics you have used as I for one LOVE them - they are totally GORGEOUS!! I promise I will pretend they are scraps.

Thanks for reminding us to feel out boobies too - great reminder. Glad you are doing so well too. x Janelle

Amelie

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Feel your boobies sounds so kind... and you're right, it is so very important. Though most of us dread it, dread feeling anything there shouldn't be.

Oh, and your scrappy log cabin is brilliant! I am ashamed to tell that I haven't even started on mine... :o
