A few lovely days.
Thank you so much to everyone who sent their wishes for Little Floss's birthday. We had a wondrous day that ended with a few very tired people!! I have to admit I was exhausted by the end of the day but we enjoyed every moment and it was so much fun to see Little Floss's amazement and excitement at each and every sight, noise and smell. As you can see he also brought a few of his new trains to play with on the stops along the way - it is always too hard to part with new gifts even if it is to go on the Puffing Billy!
Over the last few days I have been working on my second project for the "Girls Day Out" as mentioned in my previous post. I really have been having so much fun playing with hand sewing and am really liking the way everything is turning out. I cant wait to complete this item tomorrow but here is another little sneak peek. For those of you who asked, these patterns can be revealed and will be released after the retreat in May - until then I need to be very secretive!!
And Rosie came back from her retreat in Tasmania with a beautiful gift for her little sister!! What better gift could there be but fabric??!! Thanks Flossie, I cant wait to get into them soon!!
So all in all it has been a lovely few days here other than more dental woes which are soon to be rectified by my new best friend the Sleep Dentist! Ah, sleep and dentist - don't those two words sounds so good together!?
Off to do more fabric shopping this afternoon - wow, this week is getting better and better! - Melly.

Love the hand-stitching! You are very brave to do it and it looks beautiful.
I just wanted to say, too, that I have been following your blog for a couple months now, and I just love it - everything from the patterns (which I have purchased many now), to the pics of your beautiful living flossies. :) Thanks so much for being so creative and inspiring - I always look so forward to your posts!

Hi Melly, love the pic of little floss, just SO CUTE. Love your stitching too - how yummy. As for the dental work - one word - EXTRACTION!!!Sometimes I wonder why they just don't do it!! Good luck with it all, sometimes I think the pain from the toothache is better than the root canal!

The hand stitching is beautiful - where do you get the felt in all those glorious colours?
Glad little floss had a lovely time on his birthday. A visit to Puffing Billy is such a greet way to celebrate.

Such happy days Melly! I love your pic of little floss and to hear he had a lovely birthday. Good luck with the dentist. I'm a silly looking 35 year old with braces. It took me that long to be brave... x Rachel

Mmmm.......fabric shopping! So much to see. Colour, pattern, texture - I didn't realise I spent so much time in fabric shops touching fabrics until my husband said that he loved to watch my face as I touch all the fabric in a shop. Hope you had fun! And lots of inspirational thoughts whilst shopping!

Can't wait to see what you secret project is! The colors are glorious. I've recently taken up handstitching because I spend soooo much time in the car waiting for my five daughters to complete activities here and there. It is a great way to spend wait time. Your hand stitching, by the way, is beautiful!
