Count Mad Cow
About a week ago we found out that we had been accepted to be a part of this....
We also found out that due to postage time we had only about a week to make up our goodies and get them to the US to make deadline!!!
We had told the organisers that if accepted we would make a Freya, Sangsang and Acute doll and would also decide on a 4th toy as the requirements were to send 4. So we madly went about making the toys and with no time left realised we had not come up with a 4th!!! It had to fit the "Fairy, Folk or Fable" theme and since we felt none of our other toys fit this theme we had intended to come up with a new design.
Sitting in Melly's new studio yesterday we were trying to decide how on earth we were going to come up with something in time. It is a public holiday here tomorrow so we had to get to the post office today!!! Looking about the room our eyes fell onto a Mad Cow sitting on Melly's sofa and the decision was made!!! Why make something new when you can in a fraction of the time adapt something already made???!!! So let me introduce the new and improved "Count Mad Cow"
His wings are made of stuffed black leather and his bell just completes the picture! He makes us laugh so much and we can just imagine his lispy voice!! Rosie x x

Really don't want to be pedantic, but "he" must be a "she" as I can clearly see udders (and udderly fantastic at that - just had to do it). Does she only come out at night and have pointed teeth? That begs the question - what would a vampiric bovine thirst for? Personally I think you'd have to keep an eye out for small puncture marks on the cartons of milk in your fridge!!! Good luck to both of you.

I'm speechless. Creative under pressure....... we should set you a five min challenge often, and see what comes out!

Love the udders- just perfect. Thank you for your comment about my quilting. Maybe it is best just to go with my own judgement-- thanks again

What a hoop she fits the bill perfectly.

Hey Rosie and Melly! Hmmm ...Vlad the Milk Pailer instead of Vlad the Impaler?! Definitely a fractured fairytale! We'd better warn all good Transylvanians to wear crash helmets at night in case the Count decides it's "Bombs Away!" whilst cruising for a meal! Could be great for the Transylvanian gardens, tho! Tee! Hee! Hee! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)
