Alright, alright I know - we are a day late yet again!!
So without any further fluff, here are the three lucky winners of our sheepish giveaway. Yayie, Natalie and Kathryn you are the three lucky winners of this cute new pattern so please email us with you postal addresses.
Despite fires in her suburb and mayhem galore, Rosie has managed to produce another wondrous new Melly & me design in the past week. For those of you who haven't visited her blog here is her new cutie, EMOtional Anna and her little pet Sebatstian....
Aren't they just the cutest pair??
Rosie hopes to write this pattern up this week and get her ready for release, so guess what??? We are running a back to back giveaway!!! You know the drill....
Leave a comment on this post to be in the running for a copy of the new "EMOtional Anna" pattern and we will draw the lucky winners next Monday (I promise!!!).
In the meantime I am heading back to work on the book - I am so glad that Rosie is producing all of this amazing eye candy to save you from the endless book sneak peeks!
I have just left the "Red Cross" website where we have made the donation for our fabulous auction!! How great did that feel, and I want to thank each and every one of you who supported us in this fundraiser. With all of the winning bids and a little extra we were able to make a donation of $1,800.00!!!!!!! How amazing is that??!! I will be honest in saying that I still cant quite believe it! I had hoped that we may make about $500, but this result has more than tripled our expectations so thank you! Here is a copy of the donation receipt so that you can all be sure your winning bids are going straight to the cause....
Maree is also adding her auction funds to the appeal and that is starting to come through. I think she has raised over $700.00 which is just so fabulous and that donation will also be made soon.
For those of you who are still looking for ways to support the appeal here are a couple of links...
Hello all of you amazing people! Well the auction has now officially closed and I am gob-smacked at the level of support and generosity that has come from this little fundraiser. I will write more in my next post once I have tallied up the totals and made our donation, but for now I just wanted to say a huge "THANKS!!!" and let you know that bidding is now officially closed.
Also Anne who had the winning bid of $220 on one of the pattern packs, can you please make contact with me as I cannot seem to find your email address. Thanks so much.
Hello all and thank you so much for all of your comments of concern and support for those suffering in the worst bush fires we have ever seen. Unfortunately we can only report that the death toll continues to rise, the property loss gets greater and the fires are still raging out of control, threatening more towns.
A lot of you have asked how you can help, and we also have been thinking a lot about how we can help. We have done some research and at this stage the Red Cross is asking that people do not donate "items" due to the logistics of distribution and the delays in items reaching those in need. The real need is for financial donations so that people can have their needs provided for in a quick and effective way. Therefore we have tried to think of a way to meet this need while still combining our craftiness.
For now we have decided to run a silent auction of some of our items through this blog.
Below this post are some pictures and details of eight items we would like to auction. If you would like to bid on an item, please comment on that item or email us. You can bid for items in Australian dollars or US dollars but please advise if using US dollars. We will accept payment via paypal or direct deposit (Direct deposit only for those in Australia) and we will cover all of the postage costs.
So, how can you help us????? We would be very grateful if you would firstly BID!! - we would love to raise as much as we possibly can. 100% of these funds plus a top up from us will go directly to the cause so please dig deep. Secondly we would love you to link into this auction if you have a blog so that we can get as big an audience as possible. Thirdly why not do the same??? If you decide you would like to join us in our fundraising appeal by auctioning some of your own items on your own blog please let us know and we will definitely link in to your auction. This Auction will close on Saturday morning the 14th February so please get your bids in! Thanks again and if you are wanting to hear about a couple of other efforts for this cause please see here, here and here. Or visit the Red Cross website to hear more of make a donation.
