Ok, so the lemons haven't left, they just continued rotting with no lemonade in sight.... In fact since my last post only more rotten lemons arrived.
I think maybe there never will be a recipe to make them into lemonade? Maybe I need to somehow learn to accept the smell of the rotten lemons and surely they will eventually become compost. Maybe then they can help new lemon trees grow and maybe lemonade will be possible one day???
Maybe I should just stop with the annoying lemon analogies! LOL! Either way, life is a bit of a hard slog at the moment and I thank you all for your patience and understanding.
This morning I felt like I wanted to come back and do a blog post though! So here I am to share a few photos and a giveaway!
As you know about 4 weeks ago I was in Houston as part of International Quilt Market. This year was extra exciting for me as my new fabric collection through Windham Fabrics, "Little Menagerie" was being released. Here is a bit of a look at my favorite corner of my booth. It was so much fun being able to enjoy the ride of the fabric hype as well as being there with good friends and family - Oh and I can't forget meeting Ty Pennington with Natalie Lymer - we were like silly start struck school girls! Thanks Leanne for capturing this embarrassing photo of me (not a good facial expression - nearly as embarrassing as that video from last post!!)
There were delicious dinners galore, shopping a plenty, lots of laughs and I suppose a little bit of business was conducted. Last weekend we had AQM here in Melbourne so again there was a chance to enjoy the release of "Little Menagerie" here in Australia as well as the official release of "Where the Wind Blows" for Creative Abundance.
To any of you who have been asking for time lines, I believe that "Little Menagerie" should be hitting stores in only a matter of days or weeks, depending on the country you are in. Very exciting!
So to celebrate the impending arrival I thought it must be time for a "Little Menagerie" giveaway! Please leave a comment on this post if you would like to go in the running to win the fat quarter bundle above! I also have a few Charm Packs available for some runner-up prizes.
Good luck and may the floss be with you,
Melly.

WOW I'd love to be a winner. Love the fabric. Loved the Ty Pennington photo too.

Sometimes when something exciting is happening it gets overwhelming. I can sympathise! We are building a new home and although I wish I was excited I am more worried that I'm going to make a wrong colour choice and it won't be my dream home anymore. Anyway I hope your lemons aren't ruining your excitement over your fantastic accomplishments!

Ooh my goodness I can't explain how much I love your stuff!! Hopefully the love you feel from those of us out here in blogland will turn that frown upside down :) I bought your Magoo pattern today and plan to make one up for My new princess for Christmas. I have 4 kids and the older 3 all have a Melly and Me Softie(Bubbles, Bella Boo and Melvin), now No. 4 will have one too! The only thing better would be to win some of your adorable fabrics! I begged my Local (patchwork shop) to stock your new fabric ranges, so fingers crossed!

Hope things improve soon for you, or at least you find the strength and support to deal with those rotten lemons.
Have been making some of your softies and enjoying them immensely.
I must start wearing my glasses though - I was staring at what I have now figured out are the three charm packs, wondering what the overalls were for. SIGH.
