The quilt is fully stitched, pieced, quilted, bound and is hanging up on my studio wall!!! I am so thrilled to have it finished.
Today I was supposed to start writing the patterns however I got quite sidetracked trying to take a nice photo of the quilt. At first it was waiting for the rain to stop, then it was finding the right light and then it was coming to the conclusion that I just was not going to get a good, clear photo of the full quilt. So thanks to the help of photoshop I have played "cut and paste" to put it all together so you can see what it looks like complete. Let me tell you I just could not get a good photo (good way to waste a day and avoid pattern writing!!!)
Tomorrow there will be no more excuses and I will be writing madly with no rest until they are done. To aid me in my attempt at discipline I figured I should announce our giveaway now to be drawn on Friday. That way I will have a deadline for the end of the week and no more excuses!! So please leave a comment on this post if you would like to go into the draw to win a full set of my new "Once Upon a Time" Block of the month.
Amazingly, on Friday I did write the pattern for the laptop case/satchel, "Out & About", so that is now ready and raring to go out to the shops. I will draw two lucky runners up who will both win a copy of "Out & About".
So good luck, and may the floss be with you!! Melly.
It is even cuter when you see the whole thing together Melly. You did an excellent job on your first BOM. So is this going to be a yearly thing now? Hee Hee. Just joking. Love the colours and everything about it

I hope the floss is with me! I love the quilt. Not often you see a cute but not tizzy, funky but not gawky quilt for little girls.

The BOM looks fantastic!! So very cute :-)
And I must say, I have been looking all over for a laptop-bag pattern, and as soon as I saw yours in a previous post, I knew I might as well wait for that pattern! It is PERFECT!

It's so sweet! The stitcheries were adorably but together they are gorgeous - please count me in!
I know the problem of getting a good picture of your quilt/top...but I'm lucky and when I need it, my better half does the job for me ;o).
Fingers are crossed for you that the pattern writing is faster than avoiding it by taking pictures and playing with photoshop *smile*.
Cheers, Julia
