This post is only about a week late... oops, sorry!
Last week was one of those interesting (note sarcasm) kind of weeks where blogging really didn't make the priority list. But today is a new day, a new week and I am making a good start to it with all things Melly & me. So time to take a break from my stitching to share a couple of new projects from the retreat in Townsville and to finally play catch up with my giveaways.
Last weekend saw Rosie, Leanne and myself heading up to Townsville to teach at a wonderful retreat with Tracey at Tinker's cart. We had such a hoot and it was so wonderful to meet so many gorgeous stitchers in the stunning surroundings of Townsville. Thank you to all of those where a part of the day, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
So with the completion of another retreat I can finally share two new stitching projects that were my contribution to the day. The first one is a new Melly & me design, "Out with the Girls" which is a stitched clutch that is perfect to make up in a formal night combination, or to play with your brights and make a more fun daytime version. I see this design as being perfect for whipping up gifts for girls in your life of any age!! This pattern comes with the iron-on transfer for your stitchery to make this a really quick and easy project.
The next pattern is a new Sew Little design called "Baby Bunting". These stitched canvases are a really great way to make a special gift for a gorgeous new baby in your life. There is a boy and a girl version, and the pattern comes with the full alphabet templates in two sizes to allow for shorter and longer names. This again comes with an iron-on transfer for the surrounding design. One of the ladies at the retreat was saying that she might stitch up a boy and a girl version using the iron on transfers, leaving the centre blank to quickly add the name and date later. That way she has a nearly completed girl and boy sampler all ready to go whenever a new bundle of joy arrives - brilliant idea! So with the release of those two new patterns, it is also time to finally catch up on some giveaways!!! As far as I am aware I may be due to giveaway a copy of "Sewn Toy Tales" as well as 5 new patterns! So please leave a comment on the post if you would like to go in the running to win a copy of Sewn Toy Tales
or your pick of the most recent patterns; Rocky, Elephant Parade, Frill me, Out with the Girls or Baby Bunting.
Goodness, I really am behind!
Good luck and may the floss be with you!
Melly
